Mary Rose Lodge

A wonderful short break in an idyllic location. Positive: Beautiful, peaceful location with stunning views. The conservatory was our favourite place in the lodge with two very comfortable armchairs! The kitchen was well equipped and the hot water was piping! Great bathroom facilities too. Negative: There only a one person cafetière which was not helpful when 2 or more people are staying in the property. The oven had been turned off at the wall and we had to search for the instruction booklet and then work our way through a lengthy process in order to get the oven to work. Be ideal if the oven was never turned off.

We had a wonderful stay at this cottage with our young family and couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. The cottage itself was spotlessly clean, well-equipped, and felt like a real home away from home. It was especially perfect for travelling with children – safe, comfortable, and with plenty of space for everyone to relax, inside and out. The location was ideal. We were just a short drive from beautiful beaches, which became a daily highlight for the kids, and close to Alnwick where we spent an amazing day at the gardens and play area. Having so many family-friendly attractions nearby made the trip incredibly easy and enjoyable. After busy days out, it was lovely to come back to such a cosy and peaceful place. The surroundings are quiet and scenic, making it easy to unwind in the evenings. Overall, we had a fantastic family holiday here and would highly recommend this cottage to anyone visiting the area – especially those travelling with children. We’d definitely love to return!

Wonderful accommodation Positive: Wonderful accommodation. Beautifully designed, modern new and clean. Kitchen was the most well equipped place we’ve ever stayed in.

Wonderful stay with family. The lodge was perfect for the 5 of us. A very large open plan kitchen / diner which let in lots of light. Even in April it was still warm without having to put the heating on but it might get hot in summer ! The surroundings are beautiful and it is only a 10 minute drive to the coast. Would definitely return.
