The property was immaculate, and the perfect size for 3 generations of our family. It was beautifully managed and it was a pleasure to stay here. It was easy to find and in a great location for being able to quickly get to all of the amazing places in the area. It was an absolute pleasure to stay here, and would eagerly stay here again.
Lovely place, very responsive host. The location is very peaceful with great surroundings. Bring a torch for walking the dog!
Good points - Beautiful house. Large roooms and the kitchen is well stocked. Beautiful, peaceful location and a good place to explore Northumberland from. Bad Points - The house was freezing. I asked for the heating to be on for our arrival. The upstairs was warm but the downstairs was freezing. The thermostats on the walls were showing 9 degrees room temp. Someone from the Management company came out and changed some times/temps on the thermostat. The downstairs did not warm up at all. The following day the host arranged for a plumber to come out and I was advised it had been sorted. Downstairs was slightly warmer but now the upstairs was freezing and the radiators were luke warm at best. No further action was taken to assist us. The temp was below freezing outside. The hot water ran out mid shower. The duvets are 4.5 tog. 1 of the showers the door doesn't shut and it leaked soaking the bathroom floor. The beds aren't king size as stated but doubles. The front door is a hard to lock.
Overall we loved the house, although we did have a few issues. The lock safe is not easy to get closed once you've opened it. We arrived at 4pm (check in time) and it was 2 degrees outside, no heating on so the house was freezing. The instructions for the heating were not easy to follow and took a while to realise that the main switch was in fact in the utility room. We had a power cut a few hours later which effected the whole postcode area, so unavoidable. However, there was only a couple of candles to use which were nearly finished. The duvets were 4.5 tog and we were all freezing during the night. TV's could do with updating in both the living room and play room. Living room was also dark so we had to bring lamps from other rooms.
