Salvin House

Salvin is a gorgeous Georgian house with lovely spacious rooms, very tastefully furnished and equipped. Loved the upstairs landing area, with large sash window. Stairs are wide and very quiet with sumptuous carpet. Lovely walled garden which we were unable to avail of on a short visit with changeable weather. Our party of 3 adults and 5 children had a.very enjoyable break and would love to return as Alston has much to offer.

good host, always responds on-time... little confused around number of beds but both host and AirBNB responded and resolved it super fast. Wonderful place for BBQ and fargola was too good... had good and peaceful stay. Would definitely recommend to friends.

Great house and location. The beds were more comfortable than ours at home! The house was really well equipped and felt like a home. The only downside was being woken up by banging and drilling, next door, at 7.45 am every morning, which compromised quality of sleep somewhat, after we had had late nights due to going to a festival. Alston is a great location and very beautiful. We would definitely recommend Salvin House, especially the many local walks.

We group of 10 people spent two night in this amazing house. It was great experience and everybody love it. Everything was as exactly as described. Rob was so helpful and quick to response my message in anytime. I highly recommend this house for everyone.
