Very basic apartment in a perfect central location. Positive: The location is definitely the highlight for this property. Negative: Unfortunately we didn’t find the beds were comfortable at all. Very low quality mattresses and bedding.
Earl Grey is spacious comfy and well designed. Love the decor. Beds super comfy. Perfect for our needs.
The location was excellent, though wasn't aware at the time of booking that you can only use the on-street parking for a maximum period of 2 hours with no ability to return then for 3 so keep that in mind if you have a vehicle with you. Booked this property over others due to washing facilities being listed but no dryer or clothes airer available. No response on 3 separate attempts seeking assistance on this (thought the first query was out of hours, so that one was fair enough). The messages were read and we received our automated check out instructions so felt a bit disgruntled over the non-existent communication. Also very intense and rancid smell in the foyer and stairwell but it didn't permeate into the apartment.
Stayed for about 16 days. The place itself is beautiful. felt huge! Right in the centre of town. Quick walk to shops But.. the noise from upstairs was atrocious. squeaky floor boards, running water and shouting all night (almost every night) The air BnB has more bnbs above it. but also another person's flat above the bedroom only. This caused sleepless nights and not feeling safe. The smell in the shared staircase was revolting it was as if something died or the boilers exhaust is leaking. (Might explain the dizzy spells I was having while staying.(They stopped after putting a towel down at the front door. No evidence of that just my experience.)) The kitchen was great counter tops clean and ready to use the oven was spotless. The extractor fan on the other hand didn't work. (Turns on just dosent extract) so frying anything was a no go, fire alarms go off every time we tryed. Made me not want to make anything in a pan. Great place but wouldn't stay here again stay in the upper BnB
