The Old Wash House

Great little place to stay. Beautiful garden and well maintained. Comfy beds and soft towels.

The Old Wash House is a great, centrally located property. We have stayed there 4 times. It is well appointed with everything you could need in a self catering property. It is so nice to have good outdoor space. We really enjoy staying there as do our two dogs. You have to pay no extra for the dogs. Th property is at the top of the main street in Amble, close to the harbour, open spaces and a range of good cafes and places to eat. Amble is also well placed for all the sites of the great Northumberland coast. The beaches close by are really sandy and clean with great dunes to explore. We will certainly be going back again.

Perfect get away… Positive: Everything was as described. The spacious garden a bonus. The bed was very comfortable everything was fresh and clean… useful welcome treats. It’s in a quiet spot but near the shops, and 10 minutes walk down to the harbour where you can buy freshly caught fish/langoustines. Check out Alliance Fisheries Facebook page for when the boats are coming in; they sell out fast. Negative: We didn’t find the sofa very comfortable, and the lights next to the bed not good for reading.
