Spindlestone Cottage

Great stay. Thank you. The walks nearby were great for the boys and dog. Discovering the lime kiln was fun and the views were excellent. Amazing location for Bamburgh and Seahouses as well as an easy drive to Holy Island. Super info and recommendations in book. Log fire was lovely and the games room a famtastic hit with teenagers.

Spindlestone Cottage is in the most stunning of locations. Exceptionally clean and well kitted out with all you could need. The real star of the show is the kitchen diner which looks over the beautiful countryside. Wildlife and birdwatching would be hard to beat.Our 3rd stay with North East Escapes and without a doubt the best.

Enjoyable short break. The cottage is exactly as described. Very smart modern kitchen diner, well equipped with everything you could need. The generous welcome pack was a lovely touch, thank you. The games room next door, shared between all cottages, was perfect for keeping the kids entertained on the cold snowy evenings. The master bedroom was very cold, but in fairness it was sub-zero outside. There are extra electric heaters in the storage cupboards if needed. We were only provided with one fire lighting bar (there were none in the coal bin outside), which caused us difficulties lighting the fire on the second night, but that was the only minor negative in what was otherwise a very good stay.

We stayed in winter so booked this for the fireplace and to hunker down inbetween seeing Bamburgh and Beamish. We enjoyed staying at the cottage, would go back if in the area
