We had a wonderful stay, the cottage felt spacious, clean and cosy. The kitchen facilities were great and we enjoyed some home cooked meals as well as enjoying some meals out. The village of Bellingham is easy to walk to and has some friendly local pubs and cafes with great food. Lots of beautiful walks and countryside nearby and we felt Bellingham was a great base to explore the wider area too.

A real home from home. It was a perfect base from which to explore the beautiful countryside and gems of Northumberland. Easily reached are kielder water, Bamburgh castle, Hadrian’s wall (Vindolanda), Cragside, and walking from the house the lovely Hareshaw Linn waterfall walk. Our 2 boys (7&10) loved it here, lots to see and do to keep them active and the house provided a perfect retreat after a day exploring.
