Beautiful location, short walk to the beach. Very quiet with two great pubs within walking distance. Loads to see in the area!
Northumberland village bliss Positive: Beautiful little Northumberland village close to the sea. Lovely, spacious, well-appointed house with thoughtful attention to detail. Nice, powerful showers. Well provisioned with good quality bedlinen and towels. Outdoor and indoor seating to maximise enjoyment of the sun. Easy access to the beach and good eateries. Negative: A bit of dog hair in evidence, and not super clean. Pillows weren't the best.
A absolutely lovely house with plenty of room for me and the other 4 guests. The garden was chihuahua proof which was an added bonus! The conservatory was lovely to sit in. You get a great meal in the Joiners Arms across the road which is dog friendly. There’s also a beer garden which is ideal a sunny day. I highly recommend the Embleton Farm shop which is on the next village. They do fresh croissants and pan au chocolate on a Saturday. The house is in a quiet and peaceful location. I’d definitely stay there again.
Lovely place to stay, gave us a good base to visit all the places we wanted to visit. Very comfortable. Positive: It was a home away from home. The bedrooms were all of a good size and there was enough room for us all to spread out. What was also nice was the beach was walkable and a pub across the road did good food. Negative: We found that it could have had more kitchen equipment such as casserole dishes as we like to cook from scratch. We found recycling impossible and this didn’t sit well with us, also the main outside bin had not been emptied for some time. It would have also been handy to have an information pack, listing local farm shop, hospitals, dentist, supermarkets as we would have found that helpful.
