The Barns

We booked The Barns at the last minute, needing to escape from our previously booked accommodation which turned out to be awful. We spent many hours searching for an alternative place and eventually discovered The Barns. North East Escapes were super responsive, we relocated there the next day and we were so glad we did! The house is spacious, well laid out on one level and comfortably furnished with pretty much every amenity you could want. The location is stunning with views of Bamburgh and the Farne islands in the distance. A 15 minute drive gets you to Seahouses, Beadnell or Bamburgh. After our bad experience with the property we moved from, we could not have been more grateful for the warm, clean comfort and amenities The Barns provided. We appreciated the eco-responsible efforts, and our spaniel loved tazzing around the enclosed garden and bird watching through the huge windows. We’d be happy to return to this lovely home-from-home for a longer stay in the future.

We had a lovely stay at The Barns. The location was fantastic — so peaceful, yet only a 20-minute drive from the beach. The property itself was really spacious and perfect for a family getaway. The owner was also very helpful and always quick to respond to any questions we had.

A great place for three generations of our family. Ideal location to visit lots of places. Great big window in the living room - lots of birds to watch.

Would highly recommend! The location was perfect, with gorgeous views. The house was spacious, spotlessly clean, and had everything we needed for our stay. Only a short drive to some lovely areas of Northumberland. We will definitely be back, thankyou!
