Spacious, clean, and worth returning to.

Great location, great management company but property needs a refresh. Positive: The location is excellent and the living room and TV rooms are just as big as pictured. Excellent support and interaction from the managing company North East Escapes. Having a key in a lock box outside meant the family could all come and go at different times without keeping track of the keys. It was an excellent venue to have all the family under one roof. There were 7 of us staying. The apartment up a steep staircase and is over two floors. It is above the RSPCA charity shop, so no need to worry about noise annoying the neighbours below. Negative: There is only one bathroom with a shower. The other is just a toilet and sink. Although two bedrooms have sinks, one was very slow to drain. It was tricky to manage one shower for 7 people all getting ready for a wedding! The property could do with a refresh throughout, particularly new bedding and the dining furniture needs to all be tightened up as it is very wobbly. We had a big leak in the interior kitchen door in during heavy rain. This is obviously an ongoing issue with the flat roof above. The management company were very quick to respond to my email about it and said it would be fixed. Be aware there is very limited parking near the property. We were warned about this by the management company. The street itself is permit parking which is the same in most of the surrounding streets throughout Whitley Bay. The street adjacent has free on street parking, but you have no guarantee you won’t be walking a distance.
