Stay is lovely, cute little place with all you need! We took our two dogs as the place is pet friendly, although garden is not secure and front door opens right onto the road to get to it so dogs have to be kept on a lead at all times which wasn’t totally clear from the listing. Struggled to get the shower not to leak all over the bathroom floor every time, so glad that there were extra towels we could use to mop this up! I would say the place could really do with some actual curtains as the half height voiles give little to no privacy especially at night as you can see straight in. Overall the stay was nice and location is good, being only 10mins drive to the beach
Lovely home. Quiet village with a couple of convenience stores and takeaway (Star Pizza was yummy). Easy to park and to get out and about anywhere. Comfy bed and sofa. Easy heating. Well appointed kitchen.
This property has genuine charm and is beautifully situated - the location was perfect for exploring Northumberland and the cottage itself has a lot of character that we really wanted to love. Unfortunately our stay was overshadowed by a few issues that let it down. We discovered mice in the walls and void behind the bed, and found droppings around the spare pillows. To the host’s credit, pest control was arranged promptly when we raised it. The host was responsive and clearly tried to help, and we did enjoy the property and surroundings when we could. But for the price paid, the cleanliness and maintenance issues were disappointing and affected our overall experience. Would consider returning if these things were addressed, as the bones of this place are really lovely.
