Almost perfect traditional cottage west of Prudhoe Positive: It's a beautiful traditional cottage surrounded by the old buildings of Hindley Hall. Nice location. We'd love to come back. Almost everything was perfect, the rooms, cleanliness, facilities, hospitality, so why not a perfect 10? Negative: There's only very little to complain about. For us it was mainly the double bed, which was too small for two tall adults. I'm 6.4. There's room enough in the bedroom so it could be wider. The toilet seat was "underwhelming" :) very cheap looking and feeling. And the lights above the cooker didn't work. It's just a details, but that's what makes it a very good 9.
Lovely weekend in Northumberland. The place was lovely & clean.
This was a very homely cottage amongst a cluster of buildings in a quiet part of the countryside. The cottage provided all we required for a 4 person family
The host had provided milk, bread and eggs, which was so hospitable and welcoming. A lovely homely spot.
