Lantern House

We stayed at Lantern House for a long weekend. We unfortunately were there during Storm Boelo with its 60+mph winds on the Sunday so apart from a food shop didn’t think it wise to venture out. However considering there were 5 adults and 2 dogs the house was a great size to spend the day inside playing games, cooking and enjoying each other’s company. We did get out on Monday to Bamburgh to walk along the gorgeous beach and enjoyed a delicious meal at The Middle Inn in Bamburgh which was really dog friendly. All in all a lovely break away not what we had planned but the house made it a great alternative break.

Lantern House is a gorgeous period property and exactly as described. Check in so easy and a friendly neighbours. Excellent fish and chip shop in the village. So handy for visiting lovely villages on the Northumberland coastline. Caster, Alnwick, Alnmouth and Bamburgh all accessible and highly recommended. So lovely waking up to see the sheep grazing in the field outside. Would definitely return as soon as so much more to see.

Great for a long weekend exploring all the beaches and castles!

Lovely location and great house. Parking can be difficult as it on a road and is first come first served. Great beaches close by.
