Cricketers Cottage

Excellent accommodation and well placed for exploring beautiful Northumberland. Positive: The property was very well placed for the NEDF event that we were attending. It was very comfortable and clean. It was nice and quiet. Negative: There wasn’t anything not to like.

Great stay!

This is a Victorian terrace house rather than a cottage. It was in earshot of quite a busy road so some of our group needed earplugs at night. Quiet neighbours. Conveniently located, it was a 10-15 min walk into town with a few ups and downs. It was very clean throughout. The kitchen was well equipped, just missed having a microwave and wine glasses not made from plastic. Living room comfortable. The main bed mattress was 4-5 inches smaller than the bed frame on each side, which caused my husband to catch his foot getting out of bed and fall. The staircase is not open as in the pictures but have been boarded in, this meant that the banister was almost useless and made the steep, uneven stairs quite tricky to use for some of the older members of our group. For the money we expected somewhere rather more luxurious with good quality towels and bedding.

A great place to stay, it's really close to the centre of Hexham and the Sele Park. The house was lovely and really comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed and the host had kindly left us some supplies as well. There was also some excellent kids toys and books which our young one loved! Thank you!
