Harbour Post Box Cottage

This place is fabulous. It’s comfortable, spacious, well supplied, and in a great location. I usually hate cooking in rental kitchens, but this one had everything I wanted. The house is located close to everything and the suggestions left by the host are spot on. We had such a lovely time and hope to return in the future.

​The house is absolutely lovely, spotless, and everything inside is brand new and immaculate. It is in a fantastic location, just minutes from Amble’s pubs and restaurants. This is a premium property within the area, so we expected a little more attention to detail. The check-in details mentioned off-street parking, but we could only see an alleyway with no-parking signs. We messaged on day one for clarity, noting there was no rush, but the agent didn't know the property and never got back to us over our 5-night stay. Fortunately, street parking right outside was very easy. For future guests, it would be great to address a few minor quirks, like the patchy upstairs WiFi, backwards-plumbed taps, light-filtering master blinds, and adding portable fans. The customer service team was responsive and attentive, but lacked on-the-ground knowledge. As a brand-new listing, we’re sure these teething issues will be easily ironed out.

The house was absolutely immaculate, close to the harbour, a few decent pubs and a good chippy…. It was perfect for a short break of 3 nights
