Great accommodation for while we were working in the area.

Great stay in this spacious, well equipped and clean house. The house was exactly as the pictures show - each room very spacious, well cleaned and had everything we needed for our week away. Kitchen well equipped and a little welcome tray (tea, coffee, sweeteners, shortbread) which was lovely and main essentials provided (hand soap, kitchen & toilet roll, bin bags and dishwasher tablets, bath towels). Excellent location - short walk into Amble for restaurants, pubs, beach etc and 3 min drive to larger Morrisons. The hot taps in the en suites still weren’t working while we were there but didn’t impact the trip really as the main bathroom was fine. Host very responsive and helpful. We had a fab stay and would highly recommend.

Nice house. Clean and most things were there we needed. Some of property a bit tired. Unfortunately no hot water in the 2 ensuite shower rooms ,so a foul smell backed up the drains. The company did tell us (once we had arrived) Very friendly locals and a nice base to explore Northumberland.

The house is spacious, with plenty of room for a family and multiple toilets, but unfortunately this was overshadowed by a long list of maintenance and cleanliness issues. There were taps with parts missing, pieces missing from the shower handle, the shower door had come off its runners, skirting boards were heavily chipped, and even the large kitchen clock had been left with a dead battery. We reported several faults on our second day mainly so the host knew we hadn’t caused them. They offered to send maintenance round on the Saturday, but as none were urgent issues such as heating or hot water, we didn’t feel repairs should be taking place during our holiday. The biggest problem was a strong smell of dog in the front room, particularly from the rug, cushions and soft furnishings. One blanket smelled so bad we removed it from the room, and the air fresheners appeared completely dried out. It could be a great property, but currently feels tired, neglected and in need of proper maint
