The Old Wash House

Great place to stay, lovely cottage with enclosed garden, ideal for dogs. Equipped with everything needed for a night or a week away. Hosts were excellent and provided great communication. 5-10 walk into Amble with lots of places to and drink with the majority dog friendly. Would high recommend, we will look to stay again.

Wonderful Positive: What a wonderful place we've found. The location is great, close to shops and pubs / restaurants and within walking distance to the harbour. We loved the Wellwood Arms- so friendly and the Sunday Carvery was delicious and refreshing to find their Sunday menu is varied as well and not limited to just roast dinners, so suits everyone's taste. The 'Old Washouse' is a lovely property and so cosy with every need catered for. Thank you Elaine and Kev for being marvellous hosts.

Perfect for us. We chose this location as family have moved nearby and needed a place where we can be based. Easy walk to everything. Excellent closed in garden which was perfect for our greyhound. The finishing touches by the host were great. Tea, coffee, etc and a pint of local milk. Bed was comfy, everything was so clean. We will be using again.
