We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay in the Georgian Suite at the Merchant's House. The accommodation was very well appointed with attractive decor and furnishings, a comfy king size bed, very well equipped kitchen and lovely bathroom. Everywhere was very clean and we were happy to see the eco friendly practices in place. Perhaps being October, we got very little noise from the street and slept like babes! The location was perfect for sightseeing and walks around the historic areas and well situated for good restaurants ( particularly the Turkish one), pubs (The Barrels) and shops. (The Green Shop was very well stocked). Finally, a thank you to Catherine for a warm welcome and friendly chats.

Splendid stay in Berwick Positive: Beautiful room especially fireplace. Great shower and a small kitchenette (well equipped). Excellent location too. Helpful staff thanks Kathryn. Negative: High table in kitchenette and noisy lock on bathroom door.

Lovely room, comfortable bed and excellent facilities. Very friendly and helpful staff, especially when we first arrived. Nice touch with the complementary beverages. The Merchants is a very nice place to stay.
