The Morning Room @ The Merchants

As this was a relevantly new establishment we weren't sure what to expect, but we had a fabulous stay. Everything was high class, from the coffee bags - not instant, to the shower/shampoo/conditioner. Towels that actually covered me, to posh 'who gives a crap' toilet paper!!We came home one afternoon to find a small punnet of strawberries in our room! We met the owner - Angela, when we were leaving and she was lovely too. She had more ideas for the place so it could be even better for arrivals.The only down side we could find was the door didn't fit so well (it is a very traditional original home) & when it was a bit windy the door moved & rattled- we solved it by wedging it with some paper! Also pillows were quite hard ones & I like soft but I went & bought one locally so again, problem solved!We would recommend staying at The Merchants, wonderful area too to explore. Thank you for your hospitality

Excellent place that I highly recommend. Positive: Everything. The location couldn’t be better for restaurants and bars. Some lovely walks close by. The room was immaculate and the bathroom was massive. Had everything we needed. Negative: Nothing.

Fantastic stay. Rooms super clean, bed comfy. Just what you need after a busy day.

Negative: The bed was a bit hard for both of us
