Babbling Burn Cottage

Exceeded Expectations! Great little Gem of a cottage Positive: This property exceeded our expectations, we booked last minute as a stop off on our way back from Scotland. And completwly wish we could have stayed longer. There are lots of places to visit in the surrounding areas, its rural and very clean with fantastic facilities. Very informative information packs, thryve thought of everything. Loved the games room and the little extras in the welvome pack! Cannot recommend enough and will definatly come back to stay for a little l9nger next time. Negative: There was nothing not to like

Great stay!

By far the nicest place we stayed on our journey. Close to the town and the castle. Highly recommended.

Great quiet location, a lovely hamper provided upon arrival and along with a voucher for sausages from the local butcher which was greatly appreciated. Logs were generously provided for the burner. We thoroughly enjoyed the use of the games room! We were however disappointed with certain aspects of the property. Specifically, the bathroom sliding door did not lock properly which meant that guests staying downstairs had little to no privacy. The laminate coating on the coffee table was peeling away. The upstairs shower did not function well and was difficult to use. A few of the dishes were unclean upon arrival and had to be re-washed. The single beds were flimsy and felt cheap to sleep on. We do not expect a holiday home to feel brand new as it is frequently used by so many different people, however certain elements could be improved to enhance the quality of the stay.
