A lovely cosy base to explore a beautiful area. Positive: Lovely cottage tucked away from the world. Shower in the main bedroom was brilliant powerful and relaxing. The cottage heated up brilliant when it was needed. Negative: We had not realised it was made up of other properties so that was disappointing. Didn’t use the facilities such as gym or hot tub because they were shared facilities and there was no information about hygiene or how these facilities would be shared or indeed when they were cleaned. Photos made it look like the facilities were private for the cottage we booked so that was really disappointing. All the doors in the cottage need oiling as they squeak which meant we had to leave doors open especially at night. The kitchen facilities equipment needs looking at again lots of plates and glasses but not enough chopping boards or utensils to prepare food from scratch. The grill was a massive issue for us as we couldn’t work out how to attach the handle. The hob has a crack in it so we had to be really careful when cleaning it as it is sharp. This is a health and safety risk as it could result in a guest being cut. Could not find instructions on how to use the cooker and it’s not simple if used to having gas. Due to the fact the washing is inter grated the rubber seal is black which smells and it was full of plastic bags on inspection. Tumble drier needs a really good clean out as it was filled with bits. The television in the bedroom doesn’t always pick up the WiFi so most of the week it couldn’t be used. WiFi down that end of the cottage is really poor. We had a power cut during the week and it took quite a while to get the main tv back in line as there are no instructions how to do this without WiFi we struggled to google the tv set up. Overwhelmed with the number of cushions in the property did not know what to do with them all. The decor needs updating to reflect the area in which the cottage is based and also the name of the cottage.
