Chai @ The Tea Warehouse

Check in was easy with key safe. Strange smell in hall and stair case, possibly from pet shop next door. They have tried to eliminate with constant air freshener, otherwise lovely entrance. Accommodation was clean with a few drips missed on front of fridge and some flies. Very little in way of basic supplies, cleaning products, bin liners, dish cloth etc which we have had else where so make sure you take anything you need or plenty of local shops for provisions. Perfect location in town centre with options to eat out for breakfast and dinner if needed. Car parking for 2 hours with disc provided in front of property but don't forget to move after overnight parking by 10am. We stayed early July in Chia on top floor, but luckily took our portable fan as even with windows open was very hot over night. Spotless linen, plenty of perfect white towels , mattress not particularly comfy, but thats my opinion. If you're looking for a base to discover northumberland this is ideal.

This apartment was lovely. It was a great location and we had a really comfortable stay. It’s worth noting that you need to bring your own cooking oil and washing up liquid, but otherwise the kitchen was well supplied. We weren’t bothered by any noise and barely noticed the other flats. We loved the view from the living room with the castle in the background. The host was brilliant at communicating too. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again!

Great location pity about the small beds Positive: The location was excellent and surprisingly quiet considering it is is the main street of Alnwick Negative: The beds are very small double beds, ie 4'6" wide. This is the only reason I would not use this property again, At home we have a super King size bed as my husband is over 6 foot tall so we did not find either of the double beds comfortable for 2 people. To be fair the description does say double bed and we booked at short notice so couldn't find anything available with a large double bed.
