Learchild House

The house was lovely, a great size for two adults and a teenager. The location is very walkable into the main part of town, and the neighbourhood was quiet without being deserted - even over the weekend. Our host was communicative and provided everything we needed to know, as well as leaflets for local attractions. A personal favourite feature was the blankets for the living room - I can only imagine how snuggly they must be in winter!

Overall a lovely place, convenient and comfortable. Would stay again. Positive: Location superb. 5 minute walk into town and 10 minute walk to the wonderful Barter Books. Very comfortable and quite spacious rooms. Lots of chargers available for devices. Negative: Parts of the property were a little grubby. Visible dried liquid stains on coffee and side tables in living room. Kitchen windowsill and bottom of shower not cleaned well. Windows very dirty. Also the top of the dining table wasn't secure and tipped up when I put hand on it to stand up from the table.

Comfortable, spacious house, great for proximity to Alnwick town centre gardens etc. Well equipped and helpful hosts

Positive: Quiet, near restaurants etc, easy to park. Place cleancand comfortable. Negative: Unable to open bedroom windows which is a pain in hot weather.
