We really enjoyed it. Positive: Location in Tynemouth is great - near the sea, Front Street and Metro but very quiet. Cottage is attractive, comfortable and clean. Negative: Front door is quite tricky to lock and may need several attempts. You have to really pull it closed hard and handle up hard, even then key doesn't always engage. Low beam in upstairs bedroom should perhaps have a warning - easy to bang your head A low table in front of the sofas would be useful There seems to be a fashion now for very squishy mattresses which actually make your back hurt. We would prefer firmer orthopaedic ones
