Positive: Location and facilities were excellent Negative: Home was poorly cleaned, floors were dirty and there were a lot of dead wasps on the floor all around the house and on the kitchen windowsill.
Great location with beautiful 15 min walk to pun’s and restaurants. great accommodation with lots of amenities- great for groups and families
We enjoyed our stay at Barn cottage. It is well placed to walk into Bamburgh or the surrounding countryside or if you just want to hang out then the cottage is pretty spacious and well specified. All the beds were very comfortable with crisp clean sheets. There were tow large luxurious towels for each person. Outside, you are surrounded by other cottages which were all in use, but somehow this was never intrusive or bothersome. The reasonably well enclosed (small dogs can get under the gate) garden with jacuzzi was a useful and pleasant place. The warm and comfortable conservatory was the highlight, we used it to socialise in all the time and as a place to eat breakfast and dinner. Happy with our choice and would recommend. Thank you Bamburgh First.
A lovely stay, great location and facilities. Just a shame the property needs a good clean Positive: Location is great. A fifteen minute walk across the fields into Bamburgh where there are lovely pubs and cafes. Also the facilities at the property are great. Table tennis, tennis, hot tub, garden are all ideal though shared. Miniature donkeys are in the field behind and give you a lovely welcome when they see you. A good base to visit the Northumberland coastline, we had a lovely visit to Lindisfarne, the castle was amazing inside and out. Bamburgh castle is beautiful as is the beach and the dunes. Negative: The WiFi is poor and only worked in the living room. We stayed in Barn Cottage, the property needs a deep clean. It was dusty, dirty and lots of cobwebs. There was also broken glass under one of the sofas.
