Could be nice but let down by corniness and attention to detail. Positive: Good location for a base in the area. Local pub White Swan looked after us well with a fantastic meal. Wi-Fi, TV setup, and everything else you need is provided. Even some games (we enjoyed playing Cluedo with the kids) Negative: Really let down by cleanliness and to be honest ruined our stay as once you feel a place is dirty it’s hard to relax. Glasses, plates. Etc were dirty. Crumbs on bottom of oven. Hob dirty. Food/marks on kitchen cupboards. It also smelt like dog which, as non pet owners, was not pleasant. The photos also make this look quite private but it is not. The outside area with bbq is basically in a carpark where other cars where parked and other guests (there are many rentals here) would be walking in and out to their cars past our unfenced open area. Lastly, was a nice thought to provide a few basics, milk, bread and eggs. However the bread was always 2 days past best before date on arrival!!

We were staying to attend a 2 day wedding event and it was perfect for what we needed. The area is quiet and the accommodation is the perfect size for a group of 4 that will be out exploring. It was clean, close to the beaches and castles and had enough fridge space for food. We contacted the host as the bathroom/wet room gets very very wet after showering so we needed more bath mats and they were efficient and helpful. I would stay here again!

We had a fantastic time! Just a short drive from the extensive, beautiful beaches along the Northumberland coastline! A thoroughly restful and enjoyable stay for us and our labrador!

Very well stocked with all the amenities you might need and they had kindly left some essentials like bread, eggs, milk, tea & coffee as well. A very comfortable stay!
