Old Farm

Unfortunately, we were disappointed with the house. This was a family break before I start radiotherapy, so having somewhere clean, comfortable and relaxing was particularly important. The property needs a good “fettle”. We had to wipe down the kitchen before using it; there were stained cups, food marks on the walls, a mouldy sink drainer, broken bin and coffee-covered Nescafé machine. There were also significant water supply issues, affecting the bathrooms and kitchen, and a broken radiator valve in the twin room. The maintenance team attended twice. We raised everything with the management company, supported by photos and videos. They acknowledged the cleanliness, water and condition issues and agreed it didn’t feel consistent with their standards. However, after inspection, the owners considered it “to standard”. For £1,000 for 3 nights, we don’t feel cleanliness issues, no water and a broken radiator are reasonable to accept, therefore we want to set expectations for future guests

We had a lovely 1 week stay at Old Farm, the cottage was well presented and it had everything we needed. The communication from North East Escapes was first class, the app was handy to refer to before and during our stay. Bamburgh always delights and we were so fortunate with the weather which made our beach days all the better. Highly recommended!

Such a pleasant stay which was both busy but relaxing too? Positive: This is a lovely home in a great and stunning location. There are so many lovely beaches to visit along the. Coastline and interesting places to visit too. Negative: There wasn't anything to dislike at all? This is a lovely house in a beautiful area which made for a really nice relaxing stay for our whole family?
