Spindlestone House

We had a really lovely weekend at Spindlestone House and would definitely recommend it. The house is a great size, perfect for a group, and worked really well for us all. It was actually a surprise trip for my mum and she absolutely loved it, which made it even more special. The communication from North East Escapes was spot on from start to finish, and when we had a small issue with the TV, they came out quickly and got it sorted which we really appreciated. Overall, we had a great stay and made some lovely memories there. Would happily return 😊 - The Apple Inn in Lucker is a great place to eat, dogs welcome !

The place is very large and accommodated our extended family; it is slightly ‘run-down’, but this can be expected from a place big enough for 10. The car parking is also very tight and very steep, there is plenty room to extend the front of house parking, we squeezed two vehicles in but it was a struggle to get in or out of the vehicles once placed in the timber walled area. Although not the immediate responsibility of the owner, the ground works happening outside the premises was extremely intrusive. Extremely noisy workings taking place from very early in the mornings (even on a Sunday!). We expected some respite as we were booked over a weekend, but the work went on regardless, resulting in young children being woke with grinding and drilling equipment. We should have been told that these works were literally outside the property. Yes, the location is great, and the property is large, but this had to be balanced against the cost and the items listed above.

A delightful house in a beautiful setting. Ample space for 10, hot tub lots of fun and the effort into the information, treats etc all noted. We had a smashing weekend!
